What to expect
A tropical butterfly dome, Nocturama, Jungle Trek, outdoor play areas, mini-zoo Zoë and picnic spaces make this feel like a full family discovery day.
Curator note
Allow at least 2–3 hours. Tropical domes (~25°C), Jungle Trek, Nocturama (nocturnal animals in low light) and large outdoor grounds with playgrounds and a petting zoo — all included in the day ticket during regular opening hours (no separate evening visits). By bike: paved traffic-free paths at regional cycle routes 94 (L'Areuse-Emme-Sihl) and 44 (Le Jorat-Trois Lacs-Emme), near the Seeland vegetable trail; bike parking at the visitor entrance. Dogs cannot enter the exhibits (guide dogs included), but free «Dog Hotel» kennels are under the entrance bridge (CHF 1 deposit lock). Butterflies are most active on sunny days; winter visits are especially nice when it's cold outside.
